Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of StartupCore's website and one-time research services.

Effective September 6, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and StartupCore, the operator of StartupCore.com (“StartupCore,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the website, submitting a research request, or purchasing a report, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. If you use the services for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.

2. The services

StartupCore provides manually prepared, human-reviewed research reports about startup opportunities and business ideas. The scope of each service is the scope shown on the applicable order page or otherwise agreed in writing. A purchase includes one report; follow-up research, implementation, monitoring, or revisions beyond correcting a material factual or clerical error are not included unless we agree otherwise.

We may use research, productivity, and AI-assisted tools to help find, organize, and draft information. A human reviews the analysis before delivery. We may decline or cancel a request that is unlawful, unsafe, outside our reasonable capabilities, or materially different from the service purchased. If we cancel before delivering meaningful work, we will refund the amount paid for the undelivered service.

3. Your responsibilities and submissions

You are responsible for providing accurate, lawful information and for having the right to share everything you submit. Do not submit passwords, payment-card data, government identifiers, health records, other people's sensitive personal information, or trade secrets that require protections beyond these Terms.

You retain ownership of your submissions. You grant StartupCore a limited, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and process them only as reasonably needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the requested service or comply with law. We do not acquire ownership of your startup idea merely because you submit it.

Unless we separately agree in writing, submitting information does not create an attorney-client, fiduciary, employment, partnership, or formal nondisclosure relationship. We nevertheless handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy and limit access to people and service providers who need it for the relevant purpose.

4. Orders, payment, cancellation, and refunds

Prices are shown before checkout and are charged as one-time payments through Stripe. You authorize the charge and are responsible for any taxes that the checkout identifies as your responsibility. Stripe may apply its own terms and privacy practices to the payment process. StartupCore does not receive or store your full payment-card number.

You may cancel for a full refund until we begin substantive research on your request. Because each report is custom work, payments are generally nonrefundable after substantive research begins, except when we fail to provide the purchased service, we agree otherwise, or applicable law requires a refund. To request cancellation or report a billing problem, contact us promptly at info@startupcore.com.

Any delivery date is an estimate unless we expressly guarantee it in writing. If information you provide is incomplete, we may pause work while waiting for clarification. You agree that we may send transactional emails needed to clarify, fulfill, deliver, or support your order.

5. Reports and permitted use

Subject to payment, StartupCore grants you a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use the report for your own personal or internal business purposes and to share it with your team and professional advisers. You may not resell, sublicense, publish, systematically extract, or use a report to build a competing research product without our written permission.

You retain ownership of your submissions. StartupCore retains ownership of its original report language, selection and arrangement, templates, methods, branding, website, and other pre-existing materials. Third-party facts, quotations, trademarks, and source materials remain subject to their respective rights and terms.

6. Research limitations and no professional advice

Reports synthesize selected information available from public and other permitted sources at a point in time. Sources may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, changed, removed, or later contradicted. Our research is not necessarily exhaustive, and an inference or ranking reflects judgment under uncertainty—not a verified prediction.

The website and reports are for general informational and decision-support purposes. They are not legal, tax, accounting, investment, financial, medical, or other regulated professional advice. StartupCore does not guarantee demand, market size, funding, profitability, freedom to operate, regulatory compliance, or startup success. You are responsible for your decisions, independent verification, customer research, and advice from qualified professionals.

7. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the website or services; interfere with their operation or security; attempt unauthorized access; submit malicious code; violate another person's privacy or intellectual-property rights; use a report or service for unlawful, deceptive, discriminatory, or harmful activity; or misrepresent StartupCore's work as a guarantee or professional certification.

8. Third-party services and links

The services may rely on or link to third parties, including payment, email, hosting, analytics, research, and source websites. We do not control third-party content, availability, security, or practices and are not responsible for them. Links and citations are provided for context and do not imply endorsement.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and services are provided “as is” and “as available.” StartupCore disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, noninfringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the website, a source, or a report will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or suitable for a particular decision.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StartupCore will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits, revenue, opportunity, data, or goodwill; or decisions made in reliance on a report or third-party source. StartupCore's total liability arising from a service will not exceed the amount you paid StartupCore for that service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limits do not exclude liability that cannot legally be limited, and they do not reduce any non-waivable consumer rights.

11. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify StartupCore from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the services, your violation of these Terms, or material you submit without the required rights. This section does not apply to the extent a claim results from StartupCore's own unlawful conduct.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access to the services if you materially violate these Terms, create a security or legal risk, or fail to pay. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

Before filing a claim, you and StartupCore agree to try in good faith for 30 days to resolve it informally by email. These Terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer protections, disputes must be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in California, and each party consents to that court's jurisdiction. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief.

14. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms prospectively by posting a revised version and effective date. Material changes will not retroactively reduce rights for an order already accepted unless required by law or you agree. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, except for payment obligations. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of the business.
